This room held many aesthetic attributes that had simply been forgotten over time. With its architectural roots inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, the foundation of good design was already in place. In larger homes, it’s easy for such details to fade into the background. Among all the elements that influence a room’s atmosphere, none are more impactful than the walls and the floor — what we like to call the “fifth wall.” To reawaken the space, we introduced a fine handmade area rug featuring a striking black background framed by a crisp white border, then followed with thoughtful space planning to bring harmony and balance back into the room.

Now that we’ve placed the ideal area rug and thoughtfully rearranged the furniture, notice how the colors, contrast, and proportions of the space come alive. Our Specialty is Area Rug Decor...
Every setting looks better with an Area Rug, but the issue for most buyers is that often times it can be burdensome to select the perfect one(s). There are so many types, sizes, designs, and colors to choose from. Then there may be existing furniture you need to match, wall color(s), fabrics, the list goes on and on. Understandably it can get confusing; ultimately you just want to get the best-looking furniture and Area Rug(s) right? Leave that burden on us. We have over 30 years' experience in the Interior Design and Floor Covering Industry, working with companies such as Bloomingdales, Marshall Fields, Macys, and Burdines of Florida to name a few. And our founder Roger L. Douchand Sr, also taught classes on decorating with rugs to Interior Design Students enrolled at The Harrington College of Design. Rest assured that our skill set is the very finest expertise available anywhere. In fact our aim is not just to satisfy your expectations, it’s to exceed them!
